I see science as an effective route to discovery of ideas about
things that work. I have a very practical view of science and
scientific theories- if they work, then great, they must be pretty
good ideas. I do not see science as a "religion" nor
as a complete world-view. Put I do think science does a pretty
good job of expanding our understanding of the universe.
I believe there are many unanswered questions on the border between
science and religion. My experiences in life lead me to have faith
that these questions will someday be answered. In the mean time,
I hold firm that science that works is good. And that religion
that works is also good. I am not too concerned about the interface
between the two. I approach most of these interface questions
with a "wait-and-see" attitude. I believe God works
though the same laws that we have seen through science. This belief
leads to the logical conclusion that eventually all of science
and religion will eventually end up in the same place. |
